If you decide to use stage hypnotists without the proper insurance you could be liable in the event of a accident. They are many many hypnotists in the UK good ones and lets say not so good ones. Check on the hypnotists website to see if he has video clips of the show on his site, That way you will be able to see what you are going to get for your money. If the hypnotist asks you to pay the balance of the show prior to the date of the show be careful, Miles England only asks for a deposit and will not ask you to pay the balance until he arrives at the venue so you are safe in the knowledge your money is safe.
If the hypnotist is using his own electronic equipment such as a PA system make sure it is PAT tested, this is a test for electrical safety and it is the hypnotists responsibility to make sure this is done to protect the guests at your party or event. You have the right to ask for a copy of the test results.
